Versatile Blogger Award

What? I won a blog award? Hey! My thanks to Jeanette at Today & Everyday for including me. :>]

Here's what you're supposed to do if you receive the award:

  1. (no brainer) Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award.
  2. Share 7 things about yourself.
  3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.
  4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked and let them know about the award!
Here are my 7 things:
  1. I'm a mother of a five-year-old with autism, who is the light of my life.
  2. I'm completely in love with my husband. We're so compatible it's almost scary. We've been married almost 15 years. Halloween is our anniversary.
  3. I'm a work-at-home Mom. I make and sell bath & body products that I sell on my web site, I'm a scent addict.
  4. I was an exchange student for a year in Mexico, back in the mid-80's. I came home, majored in Spanish in college, moved away to teach high school Spanish for a year, hated it, quit and moved back home. I never looked back. But I still maintain some of the friendships I made while I was in Mexico.
  5. My favorite sub-genres are erotic romance, contemporary romance, historical romance and paranormal romance. I only read romance - no other genres interest me. I need to know I'm getting a happy ending... and I love smut. :)
  6. I enjoy playing video games when I can, but I haven't played much since Rhys was born. Some of my favorites are: Diablo I & II, Baldur's Gate, Half Life, Halo I & II, Legacy of Kane, Doom III, and Fable.
  7. I have two brothers - one older, one younger -  and they're my best friends.

Here are the 15 blogs I've selected to share this award with:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Congrats on your award and thank you for thinking of me and my blog!
I think that is so great you have a website and sell stuff. I've always wanted to do something like that, but never had the focus to actually do it. Good for you!!

Thanks so much for passing it on to me! VERY sweet of you! And congrats for winning it!
And then, now this is what had me squealing after reading your post, yours sons name is RHYS?!!!!! I picked that for my son, but EVERYONE told me that NO ONE would know how to pronounce it, and I'm sorry, but Reese spelled this way is not the same! So it's my sons middle name! Rhys. Jaevin Rhys, so it's still unique. I got it from Meredith Gentry books.
And then, you only read romance? I'm sorry, but you've gotta be missing out on a lot of great books! I need HEA too, but other books (like The Hunger Games) are also awesome! But if what you really want is the smut then I suppose you don't read much YA.
Anyway, thanks again for the award! : )

@Carole: You're very welcome! Thanks for the awesome blog.

@Isalys: Smut ruuuuuuules! ;)

@MsM: It's taken a lot of hard work to get to where it is (and it's not making us rich by any means), but it's so worth it. I love being able to be home with my son (especially because he needs me so much), and I hate all the office politics & other nonsense you get working for someone else. I love being my own boss. :)

@Candace: I know, I'm a total goosenheimer... I used to enjoy other genres, but there's just something about romances that speak to my soul. I love love. I've read a little YA, but not much. Funny thing is, when it comes to TV & movies, I prefer crime dramas, horror, action... I can't stand romantic comedies & chick flicks. TV & movies are where I get my other genres, I suppose. And that's just totally cool that your son's middle name is Rhys! My husband's ancestors were Welsh, and we wanted to choose a Welsh name but so many of them were completely unpronounceable or really difficult to spell. But you were right to be concerned about people having trouble with the pronunciation, unfortunately. We get "Rise? Rice?" all too often. But we really love the name so we're not sorry we chose it. We say, "Rhys rhymes with peace".
