Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1)Wild Card by Lora Leigh

I was really looking forward to this, but I'm just not feeling it. Too many lies. DNF.

Bedding The BaronBedding The Baron by Deborah Raleigh

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I'm picky about my heroines. I know this. When Portia takes an instant dislike to poor Fredrick just by looking at him, that should have been my clue. I just don't like prickly, bitchy heroines, unless they have a darn good reason. Maybe Portia does, but I'm not really interested in finishing the book to find out. Bummer, because I really enjoyed the other two books in this series. 2 stars because I'm guessing it does get better when Portia finally thaws out a bit.

Haunting Warrior (Mists of Ireland, #2)Haunting Warrior by Erin Quinn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

'Haunting Warrior' is book 2 in the Mists of Ireland series by Erin Quinn. This is truly an amazing book! This will appeal to readers who enjoy paranormal romance, time travel and fantasy. There's plenty of action and adventure, deeply felt emotions and passion, and Erin Quinn is truly gifted at painting vivid pictures in the minds of readers. The evil "Book of Fennore" is a wicked character all on its own, and as I was reading I couldn't help but think to myself, "Hmmm... very 'Army of Darkness'." I'm a sucker for a good time travel romance and I found myself not wanting to put it down. Now I want to read the rest of the books in this series, because I can't imagine them being anything but spectacular.

I received a free copy of this through the Goodreads giveaway program, but that had no influence on my review.

Sleepless at Midnight (Mayhem in Mayfair, #1)Sleepless at Midnight by Jacquie D'Alessandro

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Passion, intelligent and likeable characters make for an enjoyable book. This is book 1 in a series from a really great author. I accidentally read this out of order, but it didn't detract from the story.

How to Marry a DukeHow to Marry a Duke by Vicky Dreiling

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I debated between 3 1/2 & 4 stars for this one. The angst tested the limits of my patience; some angst is good, but it can be overdone. But the story kept my interest to the very end so I'm giving it a 4.

Strange Neighbors (Strange Neighbors, #1)Strange Neighbors by Ashlyn Chase

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I was in the mood for a lighthearted and humorous paranormal romance and this fits that description, but I just wasn't feeling it. It's not a bad book, it just isn't keeping my attention.

Seduce Me in Dreams (A Three Worlds Novel, #1)Seduce Me in Dreams by Jacquelyn Frank

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

*I won a free ARC of this through the Library Thing Early Reviewers program*

This would be a great read for anyone who enjoys futuristic sci-fi romance and lots of action. I had a hard time getting into the storyline, and found myself skimming some sections because I was losing interest. My personal preference is for a heavier balance of romance and character development, with less military action. I did enjoy the interactions between characters, especially between Bronse and Lasher, and Bronse and Ravenna. I loved the cover, too. I’m not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series or not.

Taken by Midnight (Midnight Breed, #8)Taken by Midnight by Lara Adrian

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 8 in the Midnight Breed series. Another great book in a fantastic series. This is Brock and Jenna's story, and it's just as full of action and passion at the others. We're left kind of wondering what the future will hold for Jenna, but I'm sure that will be addressed in future books. I am DYING to read Hunter's story, which is scheduled to be released in June 2011.

Lara Adrian gives readers another winner in this 7th installment of the Midnight Breeds series. This is Kade and Alex's story, and there's a really great twist that will really keep this series fresh and interesting.

Veil of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #5)Veil of Midnight by Lara Adrian

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'd give this one a 3.5 or maybe a 4. Not my favorite book in the series.

This was a great story, Nikolai was fantastic and I love this series, but I didn't really like Renata much at all.
