Immortal Ever After (Argeneau, #18)Immortal Ever After by Lynsay Sands
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another excellent addition to this series. I loved it. It really says something that this is the 18th book in the series & I'm nowhere near getting bored with it.

Secrets of a DuchessSecrets of a Duchess by Kaitlin O'Riley

That's her secret and she didn't think it was important to tell him before they married!?!? DNF :(

Beauty Touched the BeastBeauty Touched the Beast by Skye Warren
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was super short & would benefit from extra development, but overall it was pretty good. I thought it was interesting that the hero was considerably older than the heroine. Lately the opposite has been the trend (not complaining because I love those, just making an observation).

Coyote Heat (SEALs On Fire #1)Coyote Heat by Desiree Holt

Was it just me, or did the heroine make a spectacularly bitchy overreaction when the hero accidentally spilled a drink on her? I wanted to enjoy this book because I think this author is very talented, but after that scene this book became an instant DNF for me. No rating because I didn't get very far into the book at all.

Not bad, kinda hot but too short & not enough development.

The Wolf Next Door (Westfield Wolves, #3)The Wolf Next Door by Lydia Dare
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed the first 2 books in this series - so much so that I was really excited to finally get this book - but sadly, I didn't like this one at all. See other 1 & 2 star reviews for some of the reasons. I actually made it almost to the end, but then Prissy (I'm deliberately calling her that because her character would hate it) made an utterly TSTL decision and I completely lost interest in their HEA, so I didn't bother reading the last few chapters.

Give Me MoreGive Me More by P.J. Mellor
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Completely, painfully disappointing. Just as an example, the heroine in the first story grabs the shirt of the hero as she falls into a water-filled grotto, so he falls into the water on top of her. First wanky words out of her mouth: "Did you have to fall on top of me?" Seriously, someone save me from stupid, bitchy heroines. The rest of the book didn't improve much at all.

MenagerieMenagerie by Lara Santiago
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was almost equal parts scorching hot and utterly ridiculous. The heroine bordered on TSTL throughout the book, but there was an interesting twist near the end. I'm glad I read it, but I'm reminded of why I generally avoid sci-fi romances.

Kind of a mixed bag anthology. Not bad, but not as great as I've come to expect from Ellora's Cave.

Disarm (DISARM, #1)Disarm by June Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was really good, especially for being so short. The characters were nicely developed, the chemistry was amazing and it was deliciously hot. I'm tempted to get the rest of the series, but I have the impression there's a fair amount of angst in the next books so I might just leave it with this open-ended happy ending. The Kindle edition of this part was free on Amazon for a limited time.
