My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Pretty good, might have been better if I had read the previous books in the series.

Nauti Boy by Lora Leigh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
It was OK but I didn't love it. I did make it to the end with minimal skimming, so that's something. I think one of the things that bugged me was the fact that time & again they're supposed to be alert for danger but instead they're all getting naked & nasty. I didn't really care much for Kelly's character, either.

Linger by Maya Banks
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I don't know if it's my mood or what, but these just didn't do it for me. Strange, because I usually adore Maya Banks.

One Whisper Away by Emma Wildes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Another good book by Emma Wildes. Some readers may feel it's a little predictable and may not love the conflict/villain because it almost feels like it was written as an afterthought, but I usually prefer that the focus be on the romance instead anyway. It also has a secondary romance, which is always a treat for me. I'll definitely want to read the rest of the series.

Hidden Agendas by Lora Leigh
Part of me wants to keep reading this for the hot sex I know Lora Leigh can deliver, but I'm just not a fan of "I want you so I'm going to push you away and be difficult" characters. I guess I just didn't understand why Emily suddenly turned on MegaBitch mode when Kell was assigned to protect her. Plus she seems flighty and reckless, which means she's at risk of being TSTL. DNF.

The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever by Julia Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I'm a little surprised at the weak reviews for this one, but then I truly am a sucker for "best friend's big brother, loved him for years" love stories. This was another book that wasn't too brain-taxing or angsty, and I really did like just about everything -- the plot, the characters & the romance. I especially liked Miranda.

Devil Takes a Bride by Gaelen Foley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Gaelen Foley is one of my go-to authors when I want to be sure I'm going to really enjoy a book. As I expected, i enjoyed everything about this one -- the characters, the conflict, the villains, the romance -- it was all excellent.
